This season Canton Ballet’s preprofessional Company led by Artistic Director Cassandra Crowley, provides outstanding entertainment for everyone. From the humor of Peter and the Wolf, to the tradition of The Nutcracker to the incredible beauty of Japanese themed works, this is a season to enjoy great dancing!

The best seats in the house are those chosen by our season subscribers! As a subscriber, you are able to select your seats before tickets go on sale to the general public. Whether you prefer second row balcony or the middle of the main floor, when you are a subscriber, you know that those great seats will be waiting for you at each performance.

Join us as we celebrate our 30th anniversary of Peter and the Wolf.

The program features a number of family-friendly short pieces designed to charm children and adults of all ages. Children will enjoy watching the dancers turn themselves into an eight pack of crayons in Crayons and fanciful, many-armed insects in Bugs. All will laugh heartily at the spoof on the stresses and strains of being stuck in rush hour traffic in Moving Violations.

The Nutcracker

The perennial favorite returns to Canton.  Canton Ballet’s performances of The Nutcracker have become a holiday highlight for Northeast Ohio families. Classic sets, elegant costumes, and magic happenings recall the charm of Christmas in the 1860’s and bring young Clara’s Christmas Eve dream of a handsome prince and the Land of the Sugar Plum Fairy to life. Celebrate the season with us as we present this wonderful holiday classic!

Japanese Dances
Order Tickets

Featuring a new work by acclaimed New York choreographer Saeko Ichinohe, award winning Three Japanese Dances by Lisa Nowak, and a new Japanese themed piece by celebrated Canton Ballet award-winning choreographer-in-residence Angelo Lemmo, this performance celebrates the exciting Kimono exhibit at the Canton Museum of Art. During the evening our audiences will enjoy the excitement of Japanese samurai, the beauty of the land of cherry blossoms and the thrilling result of the blending of ancient Oriental cultures with classical ballet and modern, expressive dance.
